  • Opened in January 2020, Col. Demas T. Craw Veterans Affairs Clinic will be a one-stop-shop for veteran health care providing everything from Primary care to Physical Therapy services, Prescriptions, Laboratory, and Mental Health Services. The new center, located near Chums Corner (701 U.S. Highway 31) has committed to a 20-year lease so vets will have health security for years to come. The Col. Demas T. Craw Veterans Affairs Clinic was named after Traverse City native Col. Demas Craw, Col. Craw was a Medal of Honor recipient who gave his life in WWII. Craw flew for the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in 1942. He was recognized with a Medal of Honor, a Purple Heart, and victory medals for both World Wars.

    Traverse City Pit Spitters
    Turtle Creek Stadium, formerly known as Wuerfel Park and home to the Beach Bums, is a 4,660 seat stadium now home to the Traverse City Pit Spitters, and recently renamed Turtle Creek Stadium. This 26 acres multi-use entertainment facility is one you may not recognize as a baseball stadium, the unique exterior is meant to resemble the summer cottages which Traverse City is well known for.

    Located about six miles south of downtown Traverse City, the stadium may be meant for baseball games - but offers so much more! From fireworks every Friday night to interactive games and competitions for kids - there is always something fun going on at Turtle Creek Stadium!
