In looking at today's market in the Fremont area, we simply don't have enough homes for sale compared to the number of buyers I am working with. We've looked at everything on the market that somewhat fills my buyers wish list and still the buyers aren't finding what they are looking for. In looking at the "SOLDS" on the MLS, homes are selling very close and sometimes more than the asking price. These two things will push home prices in our area higher. Also, the number of foreclosed, distressed properties is dwindling. Investors are buying up everything that comes up, but still some homes are sitting on the market for a very long time. This could be because the list of repairs is too high or the location isn't right for a good strong resale price.

Our community is a great place to raise kids. I highly recommend the Fremont Public Schools, as my kids did very well there. We have a new high school, opening last year. We have a strong parent group that supports the music programs. We also have a very strong parent group that supports all the sports programs. Many parents volunteer their time and it makes for a great experience for the students.

We also have a strong community support for our many community resources, such as our walking path that now expands around the whole city. Our Chamber of Commerce does a great job with a wide variety of community events. In July, we host the National Baby Food Festival which is a lot of fun for families and includes live concerts in the park and lots of other fun events. Our Baby Food Festival parade is huge every year, usually hosting 100+ entries from around the area. We also sponsor several 5 and 10K runs to raise awareness for several worthy causes.

Fremont is a great community and a great place to live.
