The Linden Mill, a former grain mill originally built in the late 1800s, is a historic building located in downtown Linden, Michigan along the Shiawassee River.

The mill played a vital role in the agricultural and economic development of the region during that time. It served as a center for processing and storing grains such as wheat, corn, and oats, which were important commodities in the area.

Over the years, the Linden Mill has undergone transformations and renovations. Today, it stands as a preserved piece of history and serves a different purpose including meeting rooms, the Linden branch of the Genesee District Library, and the Historical Society Museum.

  • Meuller's Orchard and Cider Mill located on Lobdell Lake Road in Linden, is one of the oldest apple orchards in the county. It has been in operation with the Meuller family since 1941 but the history of the orchard dates back to 1835 as a stagecoach stop! The original family planted fruit trees of all varieties because of the high elevation of the land as it would protect against frost. One hill on the orchards property is the highest point in Genesee County.

The Meuller's sell different kinds of fruits and vegetables as well as baked goods, especially doughnuts! Children will enjoy playing on the playground, petting the animals or navigating the hay bale maze. A relaxing afternoon will be had at Meuller's orchard and don't forget to visit nearby Byrum Lake Park!

I love to take my son to Clover Beach, my favorite local beach! It is great public park that sits on all-sports Byram Lake. There are grills, pavilions, public bathrooms, beach volleyball and a great sandy beach with a swimming area. Free admission. Feels like you're up north, but just minutes from home.

Linden's best kept secret a private country club that features full service clubhouse, championship golf course, swimming pool and "Kidz Klub." I love being a member here and it is a great place to take clients. They have an impressive and challenging 18 hole golf course, putting green and driving range. I prefer to spend all my extra time here. Even if you don't golf, they offer social memberships and joining just for the food is worth it!!
  • The city of Linden really loves its kids! Linden boasts three awesome parks, the "wooden park" in particular is a local favorite. Eagles Wooden Park is centrally located in the middle of downtown, yet it is tucked away behind the many pine trees and nestled up next to the Shiawassee River. The park has tons of modern equipment for kids to play on plus long trails that wind through the woods and along the river. There is also a covered pavilion, so pack a picnic and plan for a great day!
  • Byram Lake is one of the lakes you can live on in Linden. I grew up on this lake and it was so much fun. It is a private "all sports" lake, approximately 196 acres and it is spring fed. Fun lake for water skiing, tubing or jet skiing. There is a county park at the Eeast end of the lake. The fishing is also good because I remember eating a lot of fish that my brother would catch for dinner in the summer and winter (ice fishing). Check it out!
