Milford Area Insight

  • Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake it up in Milford on Thursday, July 25, starting at 7:00 pm with Steve King and the Ditties. The band has been playing around town since the 1970's. They have some great music and a few laughs thrown in.

Central Park is the place to be on Thursday evenings in Milford, the town is alive with people and pets of all ages. If the weather holds up it will be a perfect night to pack a cooler, grab a chair or blanket and head to the park. A few of the local restaurants serve food and non alcoholic drinks and the bands usually have a space set up to sell their wares; t-shirts, hoodies, jewelry, etc. It's also fun just to "people watch" or meet up with friends. A limited amount of alcohol is allowed in the park.

Milford has plenty of parking near Kroger, the YMCA or the library if you like to walk otherwise get there early to find a spot in the park. Personally, I think the best way to do it is to load your bike, park at the lot on GM Road, ride through Kensington then ride to the concert.
Don't forget to stop for ice cream at Milford House!
  • Join in the carefree summer atmosphere in Central Park tonight at 7:00 pm for Milford's free concert series. The new amphitheatre will host Paisley Fogg, who have been playing local venues for the past nine years. The band plays 60's music, a little bit of the British invasion, Janis and Grace, some American psychedelic music, and 3 part harmony folk, a great mix. Brothers David, Keith and Tom began their career in a Bay City basement, picked up a few more members and have been playing ever since. Alcohol is allowed during the concert and must be in a 64 oz or less container. Bring a chair (preferably a beach chair) or blanket and get ready for a great evening. Enjoy!
  • If you're the creative type and would like to get together with a great group of artists to learn new techniques, listen to area artists on how they create their wares, learn how to market your art, or just for a good time please join us at the next meeting in Milford. The April guest speaker is Steven Kade. Hope you can make it.
