Saline is a small community with award-winning schools five minutes from Ann Arbor. I was lucky enough to enjoy living in Saline for many years. I lived on the river overlooking the dam. I loved taking my dogs to the dog park at Mill Pond Park, walking downtown to its many delicious restaurants, attending the fairs, farmers markets, music in the park, and the school functions. Saline schools are highly rated and their extracurricular opportunities are wide, varied, and top-notch. The community is tight-knit and inclusive.

Families are drawn to its proximity to Ann Arbor and highly sought after school district. They soon find that Saline is a lovely community, offering the charm of a small-town with educational excellence, and a tight-knit community with the wonderful yearly event such as the annual Celtic Festival, drawing thousands of people from Southeast Michigan and beyond.
  • This is my personal favorite event in Saline each year! With 1,700 participants and 4,000+ visitors, this parade pulls in the biggest crowd around! There's every float you can imagine and there are prizes for the top-rated floats. Get to know all the local businesses and organizations while enjoying hot chocolate and treats. Don't forget to show up early to get a prime spot along the route, this year will be one of the busiest yet, as the parade celebrates its 40th year! You also won't want to miss Santa in his sleigh!

There are also several themed events including the Hammerschlagen and Corn hole tournaments, a bake sale, and Kinderplatz (kid's event!).
  • This is a favorite local event for all to attend! The Annual Saline Community Fair takes place starting a few days before labor day, and on throughout the weekend. There are all sorts of activities including rides, animal shows, a tractor pull, kids events, a beer barn, games, fair food, and much more! This event brings a lot to a small town community fair while still being modestly priced. Bring the whole family for some end of summer fun before school starts!

One of the best parts about summer are those warm evenings where all you want to do is enjoy being outside before the cold hits. The Saline Summerfest is an outdoor event that attracts guests from all around for just two days of fun! It's great for all ages and features a car show, live entertainment, arts and crafts show, lots of children's activities, a historic trolley tour, a 5K, casino games, and more! • This is one of Saline's most popular events! People come from all over to experience the authentic culture brought to this festival. Enjoy live music, food, dancing, sheep herding, jousting, and of course the Mastodon Celtic Challenge! There is tons of fun stuff to do and all themed for the Celtic enthusiast. No matter where your interests lie, this is always a enjoyable event to attend!
  • Every Saturday the festive Saline Farmer's Market takes over the downtown parking lot! This charming little market has a little bit of everything from homemade soaps and baked goods to local grown fruit and vegetables. It's always nice to come out on a Saturday morning and chat with all the local neighbors and farmers as well as to see what's in season! Additionally if you can't make the Saturday market there is also a Tuesday farmer's market held in the library parking lot. You can always enjoy fresh local goods on your kitchen table!
