    Bridgman is located in Berrien County along Lake Michigan about 20 miles north of the Indiana Border. This community has a lot of great features. The Weko City Beach is a 42 acre beach park that is great for both swimming and boating. It is one of the access points for the Lake Michigan Water Trail Southwest. There is a 1500-acre State Park down the road towards Sawyer, called Warren Dunes State Park. The beach at this park is a favorite of mine. My husband and I love to walk this beach. We can walk for miles without worrying about trespassing on private property. The park has a massive 240 foot dune.

    Bridgman is close enough to St. Joseph and Benton Harbor businesses such as Whirlpool and Lakeland Medical Center to make the homes in the area very attractive to their employees. The prices in the area are from $100,000 to the millions. Bridgman has its own school system. If you like the outdoors you will love this area. Its small town feel makes it popular with individuals relocating to the area.

    Weko City Beach is located in Bridgman within Berrien County. This 42 acre park has roughly 900 feet of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline. They have great swimming, boating with a boat launch with easy access and camping with shower facilities. While visiting last week, I took some great pictures of the beach and park area. It was so peaceful that day. This will change very quickly in June when they host the Lake Michigan Shoreline Wine Festival.

    There was an awesome building that a woman told us about called the Weko Beach House. It contained an event space (looks like a great place for a wedding), restrooms and a food concession area. We were told that the Lions Club runs the food area for the city. There are lots of picnic and grill areas to eat and enjoy the view. The boardwalks and observation deck are also great places to visit and get some outdoor exercise.
