The West Lake community surrounds a 333 acre all sports lake and represents 225 homes. All the homes have nice beaches and easy access to the water. There is a lake association that has special events such as a weekly Friday get together out on the lake just to get acquainted.
Another highlight is the West Lake Drive-In, famous for their olive burgers. If you have children they will attend the award winning Portage School System. So, when you visit beautiful West Lake, you may want to stay!

I have lived in Portage since I was four years old. Though I've lived in several different houses, I've never left Portage and moved to Kalamazoo or any other surrounding area. Why you ask? I love all that Portage has to offer. I love that within two to three minutes I can be driving in the country and enjoying farms or lakes. I love that you can shop at local stores or national chains all within the same square miles. I love that there are many local restaurants and not just the big chains, of which there are plenty. I love that I am only 10 to 15 minutes from enjoying downtown Kalamazoo and all that it has to offer. I love that the schools are award winning. I love that there are "green spaces" and dozens of parks. I love the 50+ mile bike route. I especially love all of the lakes and public access. I love that we have an international airport at our disposal. I love Portage, Michigan!

The Celery Flats is kinda like a park within a park. A main starting hub for the Portage Bikeway, many family's enjoy the play equipment and gazebos for gatherings. I love to start my walks here and there are trails leading off in many different directions. From a real estate standpoint I love the many historic buildings, and I've even rented one out before!

It has been such a treat to watch Bisera Urdarevik build her brand. If you have not indulged in a sampling of Lush Nuts, I highly recommend it.
