Midland Area Insight

  • Recently we added a new park to the city called Rogers Family Wellness Park. At the park, there are five areas in separated activity levels. There are small toys for toddlers and babies, as well as a zip line for older kids. Continue on the path and about 100 ft away is an outdoor gym space. There is also a playground directly behind it (gym space) for the kids to play while you exercise.
The park is located on N. Saginaw Road after you pass the hospital going north and before you get to Dow High School. Hope to see you there! Enjoy!

Check out the new building that has been totally renovated and filling up! Sine has their headquarters there and a new hair salon, T & H, has just moved in. There is one more small space left that is perfect for a one or two-person office space with room for reception, desks, and a private meeting room. The owner is currently spiffing up the outdoor area which will soon be a little courtyard setting. Come and check it out!

Summertime in Midland is my favorite time of the year. The city closes off part of Main Street in order to allow for outdoor dining and entertainment. This area has been named "The Commons" and is a fantastic place to meet old and new friends. It is especially nice if you are new in town. The Downtown Authority does a great job of getting musicians who will appeal to the masses. I encourage you to check it out!

Midland has so much to offer including the peaceful flower-filled Dow Gardens, Alden Dow House and Studio, Midland Center for Arts, the Tridge, and the Pere Marquette Rail trail that takes you 30 miles all the way to Clare. The new Chippewa trail joins the Pere Marquette trail and ends at the Chippewa Nature Center. Midland boasts awesome downtown shopping, two golf courses, the new Dow Diamonds (home of the Great Lakes Loons), great places to worship, and is the headquarters of both Dow Chemical and Dow Corning. Join others who have chosen to live in this smaller city with big city culture!
