    Looking for something new and fun to do indoors? Check out Great Lakes Glow Golf! It's a bit tucked away off Plainfield Ave., but a fun new experience to golf in the dark! It's not really in the dark, so don't worry as there are black lights and lots of scenic artwork on the walls. Part of the fee to golf also includes free arcade games to play! What a great idea! There's food, drinks, ice cream and more available for purchase too!

    Provin Trails Park is a beautiful getaway just outside Grand Rapids. The pet friendly trails are excellent for running, walking or taking your kids to enjoy the outdoors. In the winter you will often see cross country skiers making use of the park for recreation and great scenery.

    Northview is known mostly for the school district of which the area was named after. Northview Public Schools is a growing school district in the greater Grand Rapids area. Although the Northview Public School District stretches beyond the borders of Northview, the community holds a great relationship with Northview Public Schools.

    The school district is comprised of just under 3,500 students featuring three elementary schools (North, East and West Oakview), two middle schools (Crossroads and Highlands), and two high schools (Northview High School and Northview High School East Campus). Northview High School received an award for being a National Blue Ribbon Exemplary High School.

    Northview is a small community within Plainfield Township in Kent County. It is comprised of a Northern portion of the Grand Rapids area. Northview is located just 10 miles northeast of Downtown Grand Rapids.

    Northview has convenient access to the I-96 interstate. This access allows for easy commuting to and from the city of Grand Rapids. The convenient location and relatively short commute into the city makes Northview a popular suburb of the Grand Rapids area. As of the 2000 census, Northview had a population of 14,730 people including 5,673 households.
