Have you ever been home and your child is basically jumping off the walls and you are wondering where they can get their energy out? Look no further than Altitude Trampoline Park! Your child (and yourself) can jump to your heart's content. You first walk into this place and realize that it is bright and airy, unlike some of the other trampoline parks. They are also concerned about safety. You must buy or bring your own Altitude socks so that there are no unwelcome accidents occurring.

Once you have your waiver signed, wristband on, and safety socks on, get ready for all the fun! Children of all ages are welcome to jump, but we never experienced unpleasantries, as they have safety staff out on the trampolines and stations monitoring, so that everyone is having maximum fun. There are foam pits, basketball hoops, trampoline floors, balance beams, climbing mats, and a jumping pit. Kids and adults alike could stay there for hours. However, it would be wise to stop and get some water.

They do have a concessions area with metal picnic tables to stop and eat or sit down and get a drink. We personally used these tables to take off our shoes and put on our safety socks and for a nice rest stop in between jumping activities.

So if a rainy day occurs or it is the middle of the winter and you don't want cabin fever, head on over to Altitude Trampoline Park for indoor fun that is also counted as great exercise. Your children will thank you and probably beg to go back a time or two.
  • Fred Meijer Standale Trail is one of several trails named after Frederik Meijer. This trail system connects retail and residential in the city of Walker with Millenium Park and meanders along the Grand River. This is definitely a trail to try out in the area, and I highly recommend it. Park at the most southern end of Millennium Park along Maynard Avenue and try out this beautiful trail. Don't forget, you can also park a little farther north at a small community park on Sunset Hills Avenue or at the City of Walker Ice & Fitness Center on Remembrance Road.

  • The northwest side is one of Grand Rapids' best kept secrets. It boasts generations of families that will always call this side their home. It is the location for many family-owned businesses and it's known as a community of the nicest people; just a short distance to any freeway and to the heart of Downtown. Even if you do not live on the northwest side, here are two staples you must check out:

Richmond Park: Not only does it have a very nice community pool and park, but in the winter time you will find many sledders tackling its enormous hills.

Pulaski Days: One of the most attended festivals and events that takes place in Grand Rapids. Many party goers are celebrating their Polish Heritage on this weekend of fun, while many others are just along for the celebration.

You also must check out all the micro breweries, family restaurants and butchers. You might have to visit more than a few times to soak in all that Northwest Grand Rapids has to offer.
