The Berrien County Youth Fair was started in 1945, and is held each year at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien in August. Each year there is a different theme to the fair, a reigning Fair King and Queen, ranging from 16 to 20 years old, and a Prince and Princess ranging from 9-12 years old. The fair includes all the wonderful things that makes a day at the fair fun and memorable. They have the typical midway with carnival rides, all the fair food favorites from corn dogs to cotton candy and a circus to entertain kids of all ages.

Berrien County Youth Fair sticks to its roots with livestock exhibits, fruit and vegetable exhibits, crafts exhibits and many more. Ribbons are given in different categories for all the exhibits. In past years they have had tractor/truck pulling, rodeo and bull riding and grandstand entertainment. Each year the fair keeps adding more and more fun. The thousands of visitors that both participate in and visit this fair each year helps the surrounding area's economy. I hope to see you there!

Hess Lake is located in Baroda within central Berrien County. This 14 acre lake has a great Township park with a beach and an area to launch boats. The lake is classified as a No Wake lake according to MDR. There are both permanent and vacation homes around the lake. Homes around Hess Lake are sought after and sell fast.
